- Tuition, facilities fee and Parents’ Association fee are billed over 2 semesters. *Spring semester fees are payable in March *Tuition for the second semester must be paid by the end of October by bank transfer request form sent out in mid-September.
- If for unavoidable reasons you decide not to enter the University, please inform the Admissions Office by noon, March 28, 2024 using the designated form. With the exception of the entrance fee, all tuition and fees will be refunded (minus any related bank transaction fees).

Study Abroad Fee
In addition to the fees listed above, about 900,000 Japanese Yen (for Main Program), not including air fare, materials fees and other personal expenses, will be required in the second year as the curriculum requires all second year students to participate in study abroad in the fall semester. International students, as an exception, are allowed to choose the On-Campus program.
*The Study Abroad Hybrid Program (about two months study abroad) and the Asia (exchange) Program should cost about 60% of the amount stated above.
Scholarship
Miyazaki International University International Student Scholarship Program
Miyazaki International University designates international students with outstanding character and academic achievement as scholarship students in order to improve the level of education and research at the university and to contribute to the promotion of international exchange.
Definition of International Student
International student refers to a person whose residence status is “Student” (including those who are in the process of changing their residence status to “Student”) and who does not fall under either the category of government-sponsored international student or international student dispatched by a foreign government.
Eligibility
International students who wish to enroll in Miyazaki International University or who are enrolled in the University as a regular student, and who meet the following criteria 1. Candidates must be of good academic standing and character, and must be in need of financial support in order to continue their studies in Japan. 2. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in English, which is essential for taking classes in English. 3. Candidates must not be recipients of other scholarships.
Type, Exemption Amount, Exemption Period, Eligibility, Continuation and Criteria
1. At the time of enrollment and during the first year of enrollment Enrollment support: 20,000 yen exemption of test fees At the time of examination (all students): 50% exemption of enrollment fee. At the time of enrollment (all students): 40% exemption of tuition and facilities and equipment fee (50% exemption in the case of schools with which the University has entered an MOU and students recommended by GTJ, etc.) 2. From the second year after enrollment Study Support: Tuition and facilities and equipment fees will be partially waived for students who achieve the designated grades after admission based on the criteria specified below. Scholarships provided for 1-year periods after the 2nd year, based on GPA for all grades.

International students can apply for the Reservation Program for Monbukagakusho Honors Scholarship for Privately-Financed International Students. Selected students will be paid the monthly amount determined for the school year. (The amount is subject to change each year. For reference, the monthly stipend for the 2023 school year is JPY48,000.) MIU will assist in the application process once students complete the enrollment procedures. Students need to pay tuition and fees in advance. Please check the JASSO website for details
