Two international students from our university—Nguyen Duc Hieu Phung, a third-year student in the School of International Liberal Arts, and Li Xinjie, a second-year graduate student—have been successfully selected as recipients of the “Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Scholarship”!
This scholarship is one of the most competitive scholarships for international students in Japan. In addition to high academic achievement, recipients are expected to demonstrate personal character, leadership, an international perspective, and the ability to embody Rotary’s ideals. The selection process involves a rigorous document review followed by interviews conducted by six Rotarians.
This wonderful outcome is a testament to the two students’ daily dedication to their studies and their relentless efforts.
With this scholarship, they can devote themselves even more fully to their undergraduate studies and graduate research, and continue to make significant contributions to the Miyazaki International University community. The entire faculty and staff of MIU will do our utmost to support them.
Congratulations to Hieu and Xinjie!
