研究テーマ
Organization and Management of Japanese Aquaculture and Fisheries Sector
Organization and management of aquaculture industry in Japan: Japan has been the global leader in aquaculture industry motivated by historically low self-sufficiency ratio, the lowest among developed countries (Beltran-Peña et al. 2020).
Japan, as a role model, facilitates developing this sustainable source of nutrients by all other countries with low food self-sufficiency ratios (Diouf 2021).
Studies contribute to a better understanding of solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals:
- GOAL 1: No Poverty
- GOAL 2: Zero Hunger
- GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being
- GOAL 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
- GOAL 14: Life Below Water
Production of food by the means of aquaculture seems to be the future of nutrients generation, saving humanity from hunger, and from poverty, granting good health due to nutritious diet, providing industry development, and promoting responsible consumption of seafood, while preserving wildlife underwater.
Research is aimed at systematic study of the best Japanese practice in aquaculture industry
