2026年3月6日、人類学を専門とするデボラ オチ先生が、台湾・台北市の天母小学校と宮崎県綾町立綾小学校がオンライン交流を推進する姉妹校提携を締結する覚書の調印式（オンライン開催）に招かれ、台湾にて出席しました。

一方、日本側では、斉 培恒先生（工学・ICT）が両校の関係者に対して通訳を務め、本学の重要な戦略的パートナーである綾町が主導する本取り組みを支援しました。

On March 6, Professor Debra Occhi (Anthropology) was invited to attend an online ceremony marking the establishment of a Memorandum of Agreement between Tianmu Elementary School in Taipei, Taiwan, and Aya Elementary School in Miyazaki, Japan to collaborate as sister schools through online exchanges.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Professor Baiko Sai (Engineering and ICT) provided interpretation for both delegations, supporting this initiative led by Aya Town, one of our most valued strategic partners.

式典後、オチ先生は天母小学校の校内見学を行い、綾町関係者を代表して記念品を受領しました。

Following the ceremony, Professor Occhi was given a tour of Tianmu Elementary School and received commemorative gifts on behalf of the Aya delegation.

天母小学校は、陽明山国家公園近郊の台北北部に位置するユネスコスクールです。綾町もユネスコ認定を受けており、今回の提携は、綾小学校と天母小学校の双方の教育目標のさらなる発展につながることが期待されます。また、本取り組みは、本学の姉妹校であるユネスコ認定校・宮崎学園中学校・高等学校との今後の連携の可能性を広げるものとしても大いに期待されます。

Tianmu Elementary School is a UNESCO-associated school located in northern Taipei, near Yangmingshan National Park. Aya Town is also UNESCO-certified, and this new alliance is set to further the mutual objectives of both Aya Town Elementary School and Tianmu Elementary School. This purports well for future possibilities for collaboration with the initiatives of our own sister school, UNESCO-certified Miyazaki Gakuen Junior and Senior High School!
